During these two days, the final integration and live tests will be carried out with the whole team of CEOS partners involved in the project. Thanks the automated and autonomous CEOS UAV, the inspection of airport fences will be performed on Tuesday, July 28. The UAV and final solution developed within the CEOS project are intended to address the inspection of penstocks, and the monitoring of power lines to automatically detect one of the 250 defects that have been recorded in a specific database. CEOS aims to provide a complete solution with environmental, qualitative and economic benefits as an alternative to the manual inspection method that is currently performed.
The solution is based on a UAV inspecting a predefined flight path in an autonomous and supervised way with a secured 4G link. The system is using an onboard Artificial Intelligence to control the orientation of onboard cameras to record the right videos, and to later analyze the images on a PC on the ground.
